Two companies with ties to the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering were among the 10 winners of the 2016 Wisconsin Innovation Awards.
This year’s winners were selected from among 186 businesses spanning all parts of Wisconsin, representing large, medium and small companies, startups, established businesses, and nearly all industries. A panel of 17 industry experts determined the winners in 10 categories after multiple rounds of judging. The winners were announced on Aug. 16, 2016, at the Wisconsin Union Theater in Madison. The awards aim to celebrate innovation and highlight those organizations developing groundbreaking ideas throughout the state.
